The newest winner of the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize, Shigeru Ban, was officially recognized with an award ceremony this past Friday. This week we spotlight the book lists of four winners of the annual prize, first given (to Philip Johnson) in 1979. Since then, the Pritzker has been awarded to a roster of accomplished architects internationally. The architects we feature, in addition to Shigeru Ban, the 2014 winner, are Norman Foster (1999), Richard Meier (1984), and Robert Venturi (1991).
