From the Publisher. A massive book mainly covering the Brion Family Cemetery located near Venice. One of Scarpa’s largest projects, this also happens to be the place where he was buried. The over view includes ten other Scarpa creations in Italy such as the Canova Museum and various Biennale pavilions. Hundreds of color photos of interiors and exteriors, surface details, and surroundings. Color drawings and photos all printed on thick grainy paper, sturdily bound in a linen hardback, and wrapped in a paper jacket.

Wholeness: there is no boundary between big and small, between technique, function, gesture, rhythm—they all inspire each other equally, everything is treated with the same amount of effort and complexity. I am always very impressed by Scarpa’s work and TOTO has managed to present it in the most complete and beautiful manner.
