The Le Corbusier “Oeuvre Complete” series stands as one of the great architectural publishing ventures of the 20th century. The third volume presented here was edited and designed by Max Bill. No disrespect to Birkhauser, but the contemporary reprints of this series cannot hold a candle to the tactile experience of handling an original volume from this series—from the rough cloth covers to the sharp image engraving or the crisp feel of the type on the glossy pages.
