Weekly Wrap-Up & Preview: December 20

December 20, 2013

This week we featured book recommendations from IDEO’s Tom and David Kelley; some larger than life-size visuals from Steven Heller and Mirko Ilić’s new book, Lettering Large; and an interactive novel. In anticipation of our interview with architect, urban planner, educator, and author Denise Scott Brown this coming January, we posted some reflections from students who were enrolled in Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown’s famous 1968 studio class at the Yale School of Architecture, “Learning from Las Vegas.” Next week we’ll find out who the winners are for our giveway of signed copies of the book Learning from Las Vegas (drawing ends Dec. 21 at 12:01 EST). The book is also available for sale at the Designers & Books Online Book Fair, at a 30% discount. We’ll also be bringing you a book list from celebrated interior designer Sheila Bridges, who counts former President Bill Clinton among her clients.
