Angela Riechers

Angela Riechers is an art director and writer whose work focuses on design and visual culture. She is a recipient of the AOL Artists 25 for 25 grant for Sites of Memory, a multimedia project that explores the intersection of history and memory in New York City through a website and audio guided walking tours that link separate urban locations into unified stories of remembrance, mortality, and forgetting. Angela has designed everything from Harper’s Magazine to iPad apps for O, The Oprah Magazine, and has written for Print, Wallpaper*, Metropolis, Design Observer, The Atlantic, and the Cooper-Hewitt, among others. She holds an MFA from the School of Visual Art’s Design Criticism program, where she currently lectures on graphic design.
