Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ed Ng studied interior design at the prestigious design school Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With Terence Ngan he founded AB Concept in 1999.

Since its launch, AB Concept has earned a reputation as the design firm of choice for the world’s leading hoteliers, luxury developers, and premium restaurant operators and is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic, forward-thinking, and internationally acclaimed design studios in Asia. AB Concept’s client list includes the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, W Hotels, Waldorf Astoria, Swire Properties, and Henderson Land. The firm’s diverse projects span across Asia, the Middle East, Mainland China, and Europe.

AB Concept is the recipient of a number of awards, including the IIDA (International Interior Design Association) Global Excellence Awards, Best Restaurant Design; and Design et al Awards and Gold Key Awards for Best Guest Room.

Based in Hong Kong with an office in Bangkok, AB Concept has over 70 team members comprising almost a dozen nationalities. With so many creative influences, AB Concept brings a cross-cultural overview to each project enhanced with an appreciation for both Eastern and Western design traditions.The firm’s design philosophy is underpinned by three fundamentals: architectural precision, couturier-like refinement, and sensual interiors.

Ed Ng’s designs reveal his genuine respect for history, culture, and the arts.
