John Cantwell’s writing has appeared in The Atlantic, The Awl, Design Observer, Autoweek, and elsewhere. With Superscript, he helped author a new book on color with Pentagram Design partner Eddie Opara, to be published by Rockport in December 2013.

Cantwell has taught writing at SVA’s Design Criticism program and design history at Rutgers University. He currently lives in San Francisco and writes for Facebook.
