Geoff Shearcroft

Geoff Shearcroft studied architecture at the University of Nottingham and the Royal College of Art where he received a distinction for his dissertation and was awarded the Boyden Technical Prize. He worked at Haworth Tompkins Architects; SOM Asia, Hong Kong; and Cullinan and Buck Architects before founding AOC in September 2003.

Shearcroft has extensive experience in designing and realizing award-winning buildings. He has worked on Coin Street Community Housing, the Royal Court Theatre, and Regents Park Open Air Theatre and was Project Architect for Chingford Hall Community Campus. At AOC he has been the director in charge for Stowmarket High School, the Building Futures neighborhood regeneration game, the Early Years Centre at Friars Primary School, and the Lift New Parliament.

Shearcroft has taught and lectured at leading schools of architecture in the UK and Europe and is currently a unit tutor at London Metropolitan University. He contributes to public debates, radio, and television, including BBC3’s Dreamspaces, and has exhibited pieces in many of the UK’s leading galleries and museums. He is a member of the RIBA Building Futures advisory panel and is a registered architect.
