When I was 16 my sister Marilyn gave me this book for my birthday. It changed my life. When I was 26 I started working with Richard Avedon and that was even more life-changing.

All the city books by William Klein—New York, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, etc. I have them all. They’re fabulous.
This is the only poetry I read to myself. All other poetry requires someone reading to me.
