As Dwell magazine aptly put it, “The weekend was a successful merger of many fields and professions—a spotlight on images, craft, and the written word.”

The inaugural Designers & Books Fair, launching the last weekend of October in New York City—October 26–28—is growing bigger. We continue to add new programs and new exhibitors and hope you’ll plan to join us for one or more panel discussions and to take advantage of the chance to mingle with a vibrant international design community in the Exhibition Hall.

We at Designers & Books are excited to be hosting the first-ever book fair in New York City to focus on architecture and design book publishing—bringing to you live the two topics that we are passionate about: designers (including architects, and graphic, fashion, interior, landscape, product, and urban designers) and the books that inspire them.

Thought by many to be the premier rare book event in the world, the 51st New York Antiquarian Book Fair took place this past weekend in New York. The event attracted more than 200 booksellers from 15 countries. With one of the booksellers listed on Designers & Books as our guide, another as an exhibitor, and two others letting us know they would be attending the opening, we made a point of dropping by.
