I borrowed this set of books from my father, Wim Crouwel, and read them thoroughly. Everything has already been invented by this genius architect.
The argument with the client of Mies’s Farnsworth House is particularly intriguing and shocking. I have visited the house—incredibly beautiful.
Nice to browse through the images. Content and form are one. Beginning of too many thick books.
During my studies I made a trip to visit all the completed buildings and sites of non-completed works by James Stirling. It was also the first time I saw Norman Foster’s work.
A great combination of architects and work assembled by Deyan Sudjic. I have drawn a lot of inspiration from this book.
Especially good for the work of Archigram—the most beautiful drawing is “Walking City” by Ron Herron.
