Kit Hinrichs’s Book List 48 books and 3 comments
It’s interesting to be asked about what books have influenced my career. Although I am an avid reader (often of airplane trash), most of what has affected my career is the observation of what you see in everyday culture. My book list is a very broad array of books that have inspired, influenced, and informed my career through the editorial eye of the designer, artist, photographer, or writer who wrote, created, assembled, analyzed, and designed the material within the pages of these books.

3 commentsThis is by far my favorite list so far; so diverse an accessible. Thanks for sharing!
ABZ is one of my favorite references as both influence and inspiration, and Doyald Young's book is an incredible documentation of the nuances of type (as is his earlier Logotypes & Letterforms)--Nice to be able to claim such good company for my own library choices.
Thanks Kit!

These books are reflective of his experience and expertise. I am so thankful he took the time to create this list with so much breadth. Kit obviously knows about the power of graphic design and was willing to share some of his favorite sources. These are my kind of books!! Can hardly wait to get started reading. Thanks Kit!
